Under The Light Of A Million Stars Posted on 21 Jan 14:00

This card reminds me of one of the greatest love songs of all time, Stardust.

There are numerous versions, and although it's mainly associated with Hoagy Carmichael, who wrote it, I prefer the interpretation of the song by Louis Armstrong, as a loose, jazzy affair. His version is a dreamlike mediation on love, and I adore it.

The opening line "And now the purple dusk of twilight time steals across the meadows of my heart" is a piece of timeless poetry, a truly universal understanding of the power of love.
