Scottish Gifts Posted on 28 Apr 17:39

Whether you are a local or a visitor, here at Paper Tiger we have a brilliant selection of Scottish gifts to choose from. Here’s some of my favourites - and it was hard to narrow them down!

I am exceptionally proud of our Paper Tiger candle range - ever since we released them they have been my go-to new home gift. Each scent has been inspired by an area of Edinburgh. At the moment my office is filled with the invigorating scents of lemongrass, cardamom, and pepper courtesy of our Edinburgh Castle candle

Of course, I can’t mention scented candles without recommending the brilliant Scottish brand Hoods Honey. Made with real beeswax from East Lothian, these candles come in a range of wonderful scents. My personal favourite is the Rhubarb and Bramble, which reminds me of sweet Scottish summers. Comes in a tin or in a beautiful glass jar.

When it comes to homeware gifts with a Scottish twist, look no further than these brilliant Loch Ness Monster kitchen tools from Ototo! Pick from the Papa Nessie Pasta Spoon, the Mama Nessie Colander, or the classic Nessie Ladle (the sight of her swimming through a pot of soup is a true delight). Or, for the true monster hunter, get the whole family!

For a little dash of Scottish decor, check out these nifty hanging decorations from Caroline Wolfe Murray - made with genuine Harris Tweed! They come in a variety of shapes including a heart, a scottie dog, or why not go for Scotland’s national animal - the unicorn!

If you're looking for an adorable new house guest, check out this fantastic Highland Coo door stop - a great way to add a whimsical touch to your home. This fluffy pal will gladly hold the door for you - so polite!

In Scottish folklore a bogle is a mischievous household spirit who, although a little cheeky, is loyal to those who give it shelter. These special Wee Bogles are made locally, by hand, and make a thoughtful home gift. I like to think my Collie Bogle watches over the house (even when the real dog is ripping it apart!).

Victoria Street is one of the most beautiful views in the city, so why not add a touch of that Old Town magic to your kitchen! This tea towel from Edinburgh Sketcher features a brilliant rendition of Victoria Street in his signature style. Of course, if you’re a Leither for life, there’s one for you too!

For a playful splash of colour on the dinner table, try this set of placemats featuring sweet Edinburgh illustrations by local artist Gingerpaws. An ideal gift for parents, each scene has a hidden ginger cat hiding in it - a perfect distraction for fidgety kids!

If you’re looking for a luxurious gift, you must take a look at our Edinburgh Skincare range! This Queen Bee Hand Cream bar is a perfect gift for the ladies, and for men I would highly recommend this moisturising after shave balm - or, for the bushy beards, this natural beard balm!

For more Scottish bath and beauty gifts, try the wonderful selection of soaps from Hoods Honey - including this sunny Mandarin soap bar. This scent is also available in liquid soap, or even a lip balm!

To add a touch of the Scottish islands to your bath, try one of these handmade soaps from the Shetland Soap Company - the Shoormal Cassis and Waterlily Soap Bar makes a wonderful little gift.

These brilliant Waverley Notebooks have been popular Scottish keepsakes ever since they landed in store. My personal favourite has to be this classic Isle Of Skye tartan notebook.

We hope you find the perfect Scottish gift!
