I will be appearing on the STV show Border Life this evening as part of their feature on the Robert Smail's Printing Works in Innerleithen. The show is available to watch here.

Clare from STV interviewed me about our greeting cards collaboration, and I explained how the process had worked for us, and why I love letterpress so much. I also took Clementine along with me! Tony the printer has a border collie called Roxy, who played a big part in persuading me to get a dog! The visit for filming was a chance for my pup to meet Roxy.

Clare also interviewed Tony about the actual process of printing, and the venerable Heidelberg press that he uses for much of the commercial letterpress printing that takes place at the Works. We had some fun running the machine for the camera, whilst looking very earnest and serious!

Our work with Smail's helps to keep the oldest working Letterpress works in the UK running - the historic buildings in Innerleithen were acquired by the National Trust for Scotland back in 1986 and has been in continuous use since 1866.
