Free Edinburgh Click & Collect 

Collections must be made from our Stafford Street store in Edinburgh. You will receive an email or a phone call from the store when your order is ready for collection!

In most cases we should be able to fulfil your order in a few minutes, provided the stock is available in the Stafford Street shop. 

Collections can be made during trading hours. Orders made before 12 noon can be collected on the same day after 4pm. This applies Monday to Saturday: orders placed after noon on Saturday through to noon on Monday will be available for collection after 2pm on Monday.

Delivery Times

Delivery will depend upon the service that you have selected. The service is based on working days after the moment you place your order online.

For instance, if you place an order on a Monday after 12 noon, your order will be despatched on the following day (Tuesday). If you have selected the standard delivery service it currently takes 4/5 working days after that for the delivery to arrive. This would usually mean delivery to your chosen address by Friday or Monday. Orders placed later in the working week will be affected by the weekend. An order placed after 1pm on a Friday will not be collected until Monday, which would usually mean delivery on the following Thursday or Friday.

These examples are for normal times, please see the note above regarding issues during the pandemic, which are currently compounded by Brexit uncertainties. 

Very occasionally, due to factors outside our control, a delivery can be delayed. If this happens we will contact you by email and will agree with you a revised delivery date.

Delivery and Special Offers

If you take advantage of a limited special offer, only one offer or discount can be applied to an order. The discount is applied to the sale price only and not the delivery. All 'free' delivery offers only refer to our 'Standard' UK delivery.

Delivery of special items

Some items from Paper Tiger can be considered special in relation to delivery if they are fragile, perishable, high value, large, heavy, or something that has exceptional delivery requirements. For items that we deem special, the standard delivery costs won’t apply and you will be able to find a special delivery cost in the product description.

The shipping charges will be calculated on your shopping basket at checkout. Paper Tiger reserve the right to charge additional delivery charges for extreme weight items, items shipped to remote areas or orders that have been undercharged for shipping. We will contact customers about any additional delivery charges as soon as possible. We will offer a full refund if these charges are not satisfactory.

International delivery

We deeply regret that we have temporarily suspended International Shipping, pending further clarification regarding trade tariffs and tax liability after Brexit.

All items delivered

Please check that your delivery address is correct and complete before submitting your online order. We are not responsible for items delivered to incorrect delivery information. After your order, you will receive a confirmation email that will confirm the delivery address.

Your order will be delivered to you in Paper Tiger branded protective wrapping. 

You will also have the option of adding a gift message to your order when you checkout. The shipping note does not show any prices! 

 


 

Missing, Damaged, Incomplete Orders

MISSING
Paper Tiger sends out thousands of orders every year, and it’s very rare that there are any issues with missing parcels. We find that the most common problem is that a parcel has been returned to a local delivery office, and the Royal Mail ‘we missed you’ card has been misplaced.

We would be grateful if you could please check with your local Royal Mail depot and advise on the outcome. The parcel would be considered lost, undeliverable or returned to sender, by the Royal Mail on 30 days after posting date. At that point, we would be able to make a claim with them and resend your order.

DAMAGED
If your item has arrived damaged, please take a photo of the item you received and the packaging it arrived in. Please email us the photos, quote your order number and provide details about the problem.

INCOMPLETE
If your item has arrived incomplete, please take a photo of the items you received, the packaging it arrived in and the packing slip. Please email us the photos, quote your order number and provide details about the problem.

To email photos of a damage item / incomplete order, please follow these steps:
  • Take clear and well-lit photos of the damaged item / packaging / packing slip. Make sure to capture all angles of any damage, including any close-up photos of cracks, dents, or other imperfections.
  • If an item is damaged take photos of the packaging that the item arrived in as well. This will help us to determine if the damage was caused during shipping.
  • Attach the photos to an email and send it to us. Please be sure to include your order number and a brief description of the problem in the email body.
Tips for taking photos of damaged items:
  • Use good lighting. Natural light is best, but if you are taking photos indoors, try to use a lamp or other light source to brighten the area. Use a high-resolution camera or smartphone. This will ensure that your photos are clear and detailed.
  • Take close-up photos of the damage. This will help us to see the damage in more detail.
  • Take photos from all angles. This will help us to get a full understanding of the damage.
