Jellycat crafts each product with safety as the highest priority. They use only the finest materials and rigorous testing to create cuddly companions that are safe for playtime.

Jellycat soft toys are tested to British, American, European and Australian safety standards. In most cases the products are tested to and comply with EN71, ASTM, and ISO 8124.

Not all Jellycat toys are suitable from birth. Some toys have safety recommendations that state they are not recommended for children under 12 months due to fibre shedding. Some of the extra large Jellycat toys are not suitable to be placed in cots alongside small children. As a safety measure it is advised to read all labels attached to the toy and to remove all packaging.

Every individual Jellycat product has separate care instructions on the label attached which identifies the form of universal washing and care symbols.

  • Machine Washable: Many of our cuddly friends can be machine washed on a gentle cycle at 30 degrees Celsius.
  • Hand Wash Only: For certain products, a gentle hand wash with cool water and mild soap is recommended. Please check the care label for specific instructions.
  • Drying: To maintain their soft and cuddly feel, avoid tumble drying. Air drying is preferred.
  • Ironing & Dry Cleaning: We advise against ironing or dry cleaning your Jellycat toys.
